# About

Source: https://blog.stormregion.hu/about/

I love tech. It is awesome to build small(ish) things just to test out new ideas, new tech, or follow a random hunch.
This site is for exactly that: a place to share those experiments with the world.

## TL;DR on me

![Me](https://blog-files.stormregion.hu/profile.jpg)

Hi, I'm Zsombor, I'm a startup enthusiast, with deep experience as lead developer and CTO of online services ventures. In the past I worked as an R&D engineer, developing smart prototypes for desktop software and web services.

I have a strong and deep knowledge of developing large-scale services, especially scalable web services using SaaS and cloud providers.

I'm also a research fellow at ["the MIT of Budapest"](https://www.bme.hu/), currently doing my PhD.

I always focus on the big picture and the little details at the same time. For me, development is not only about coding, but also about understanding customers' needs and business goals.

## Stormregion

Stormregion comes from a Hungarian region, "Viharsarok", which earned the nickname "Storm Corner" in the late 19th and early 20th centuries due to intense agrarian-socialist movements, violent peasant uprisings, and labor strikes. Also there was a game company that published S.W.I.N.E. and other games in the early 2000s.

Love the name, the idea, the whole vibe of it.
